Georgie Skover, Parish Administrator

Georgie Skover, our Parish Administrator, is a central figure in the vibrant life of Saint James, championing a vision of growth and expansion for our returning Episcopal congregation. With a heart full of light, love, and excitement, Georgie is a testament to the dedicated community at Saint James, inviting all to join in worship and contribute to our flourishing Episcopal Church on James Island.

Deeply involved in the fabric of our church, Georgie's roles span from the Altar Guild to the Flower Guild, from being a Reader and Chalicer to participating in the Vestry, tackling remodeling projects, engaging with DOK, and enjoying Croquet. Her commitment showcases the diverse ways one can serve and find joy in the work of the church.

Away from church duties, Georgie's life is enriched by her two children and four grandchildren, who are her greatest joys. A lover of literature, she delves into reading, studying, and researching inspiring ideas. Georgie also expresses her spirituality through writing prayers and poems and extends her guidance as a Spiritual Life Coach in her spare moments.

Saint James is a beacon of the Holy Spirit's work, creating a warm family of God. Georgie's message is clear: "Come and join us when you can. We open our arms and our hearts to you," inviting everyone to experience the special community that Saint James nurtures.
