Joyce Daughtrey, Nursery Director

Joyce's connection to Saint James Episcopal Church runs deep – she's been part of this faith community for an incredible 65 years, ever since her parents first brought her as a child. With her extensive background as the former owner of three childcare centers, Joyce brings both professional expertise and heartfelt dedication to her role as Nursery co-coordinator.

When she's not ensuring the nursery is properly staffed and caring for the church's youngest members, Joyce lends a helping hand to the food committee and is actively involved with the Daughters of the King ministry. Her passion lies in seeing the church grow and ensuring children are included and welcomed in the congregation's future.

Joyce finds her greatest joy in the closeness of the Saint James community and is particularly excited about the loving congregation and wonderful priest that make up the church family. Guided by her favorite verse, John 3:16, Joyce believes that as the church continues to grow, the community will be able to expand its outreach efforts, including supporting the local food bank and meeting the broader needs of the James Island community.
